Good manners are just a way of showing other people that we have respect for them. Today's assembly started with the chanting of the ‘Gayatri Mantra’ as an invocation. It is believed that the sacred mantra purifies the thoughts of the one who chants, the listener and everyone around. Anchor Myra and Aira took the stage and offered a lively introduction to the assembly. They told the audience that, although, we are aware of what good manners and basic etiquettes are, we often tend to forget them. Hence, it is necessary to go over the various things to be remembered time and again. Students of grade I and II stressed the need to inculcate good manners & basic etiquettes and one should be polite and respectful. "One should also try never to lose one’s temper or allow it to control us", they said. The story of Ram’s life is enacted in a folk art form called Ramlila. A special assembly was conducted by students of GRADE 1&2 on the occasion of Dussehra celebration. The students presented a short enactment and poem of the story of Ramayan. Dussehra symbolizes the conquest of good over evil. It is thus considered as an auspicious day. Even today after burning the effigy of Ravana along with his subordinates Meghanad and Kumbhkarana, we simply symbolize the power of good and humanity above all kind of powers. This day is considered not only the vict...
