 Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being.   International Day of Yoga is celebrated every year on 21st June.  As the world is going through difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become imperative for everyone to take good care of their mental and physical health. Hence, celebrations like International Day of Yoga become more significant than ever.  The main theme of IDY 2021 is "Yoga for Wellness", which is aligned to the current pre-occupations. Its time to bring the change. “You can't stop the waves, but you surely can learn to surf.” Start practicing Yoga on a daily basis and see  the difference yourself. Time to get inspired from our Learners as they reinforce the right values at the right time.

A world without music would be meaningless and boring, so every year, on June 21, we celebrate World Music Day 2021 globally to honour the singers and musicians for making the world a better place to live. Also known as Fête de la Musique, it encourages budding artists and gives flight to their imagination. This #WorldMusicDay, let’s celebrate the power of music and enjoy it best with RPSians.

 Father’s Day is on the horizon, and the continuing pandemic means that the celebration of Father’s Day in 2021 is yet again set to be different from the years gone by. This day is a perfect opportunity to make your dad feel special and thank him for his endless sacrifices and hard work. The videos shared by the parents are a testimony to the strong bond of love and mutual admiration between both, children and their fathers!  Taking the current scenario in our stride, we have migrated the immensely popular Summer Camp to the virtual world to unlock the potential of our children even when lockdowns prevail. As we celebrate the end of the ‘Virtual Summer Camp-2021', it is a pleasure to recollect the beautiful moments. RPS89 was buzzing with activities during the two week long ‘Summer Camp’ ‘Growing With Yoga, Dance Unplugged’, 'Theatre', 'Music', ‘Art Spark’, ‘Fun With Mathematics', ‘Tech Magic’  to name a few, kept the children fruitfully occupied whilst having ‘fun unli-Virtual Summer Campited’. The event culminated with a video "Gallery Walk With a Difference" created summarizing their journey over the last 2 weeks. The students had participated in the activities with full gusto. The final products created by them were displayed in the video which were appreciated by everyone.  The two weeks of mirth & merriment ended on a fine note shared by School Principal, Dr. Roo

Imparting life skills through experiential learning is an intrinsic part of the curriculum at RPS89. An interesting, hands-on ‘Fireless Cooking' activity was conducted during Summer Camp.The aim was to generate interest in culinary skills, impart important life skills and make the RPSians independent and confident. The little chefs mixed the ingredients in the right proportions, as guided by their teachers online. The children undertook the activity with great fervour and showed their culinary prowess to one and all. The master chefs’ excitement and enthusiasm knew no bounds as they felt pride in creating the yummy snack on their own, which they relished and shared with their loved ones too!
