Raksha Bandhan Assembly (Class LKG)
Raksha Bandhan is the day of love and protection. This day is mainly celebrated between siblings to bestow their love and affection for each other. Sister ties Rakhi to her brother and prays to God for his well-being and in return the brother pledges to protect her. But times have changed and people also tie Rakhi to their friends and close ones to spread love and care to them. Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Shravan this is why this festival is also called Rakhi Purnima. On this day the sacred thread of Rakhi joins them together and strengthens their relationship even more. The tiny tots of LKG Lotus celebrated Raksha Bandhan wholeheartedly and with full enthusiasm. All dressed up in beautiful traditional attire celebrated by tying rakhi to each other. A special assembly was also conducted with a lively dance performance and a small skit to depict the significance of Raksha Bandhan.
