Special Assembly (Theme: Guru Nanak Jayanti) Grade I-II
Guru Nanak Dev ji was the first of the ten Sikh gurus and the founder of Sikhism. His birth anniversary of is observed as ‘Gurpurab’ across the globe. Guru Nanak travelled widely to spread the message of oneness and compassion. "Nanak, the whole world is in distress. He, who believes in the Name, becomes victorious." - Guru Nanak Guru nanak Jayanti also known as Gurupurab and Guru Nanak's Prakash Utsav celebrates the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.To observe this auspicious occasion, Grade I and II presented a special assembly. The students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire and the assembly commenced with a prayer followed by a demonstration of the customary ‘Prabhat Pheri’. Some students then came forward to share useful information relating to the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The tiny tots also presented the bhangra to the traditional bhangra drumbeats.
