Inter school Cricket Championship 2018-19

In RPS International School Sec-89, Sports are given equal importance along with academics, which helps in the overall holistic development of every student. Sportsfirst Interschool Cricket Championship 2018-19, an event that seeks to promote cricket among students of Class I & II, was inaugurated by School Principal Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla on Tuesday October 23 ,2018. There were 7 RPS schools participated besides our school. There was the huge crowd of students who had gathered in the playground to cheer their respective teams. Aarav Negi ,student of RPS-89 adjudged as the ‘Best bowler’. School Principal appreciated all the squads for making an excellent exhibit of infallible grit, consistency in performance and never- say -die spirit. Congratulating the winning team(RPS Public School,Hansaka) for achieving a glorious success in the tournament, she encouraged the players to do well in future too.

Puppet Show

Puppets are a wonderful tool to use in the preschool classroom for all ages. Puppets changed the entire classroom by creating more possibilities for creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and curiosity. With this aim in view, A Puppet Show was organized for RPSians of Pre-Nursery to UKG. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching a jungle story unfolding before them. Teachers engrossed the students with their voice modulation and effective use of creative puppets. They also encouraged the little tykes to be a part of the story with their participation and responses. The little storytellers also learnt the art of narrating a story effectively. The squeals and the laughter of the students was the proof of the joy and fun they experienced during the show.

Dussehra Celebration

India is known as a land of festival and celebration and ‘Dussehra’ is one of them which is unique in its perception and significance. RPS International School Sec -89 celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervour and ardor. The budding artists of Pre-Primary wing exhibited a spectacle dance and helped the audience to travel back in time and delve deep into the glory of our mythical past. It was followed by a special performance by the teachers. The effigy of Ravana caught everybody’s attention which symbolises the victory of good over evil. Various activities including Painting competition , Mask Making competition glorified the occasion. School Principal Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla while addressing the RPSians urged everyone to become the change agent and let the Ram in them win over the Ravan.

Inter-School Competition “Arty Rostrum 2018”

RPS International School bagged II position  in the Inter-School Competition “Arty Rostrum 2018” on Saturday 13th October 2018 at Greenwood Public School, Sector-9, Gurugram. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young RPSians as they enthralled everyone with their performances.The School Principal Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla,congratulated the winners and said that dancing is the most beautiful art because it is not mere translation or abstraction from life, it is life itself.

Inter House English Declamation Competition

Keeping the students abreast with the current issues, RPS International School, Sector 89, Gurugram organized an Inter House English Declamation Competition on Wednesday 10th October 2018 for the students of classes III – VIII. The competition aimed to promote the skills of effective Public Speaking. The participants expressed their views on the topic ‘Importance of Girl Education’. A panel of judges adjudged the competition. For III-V, Aarya Vaidya of V A, Kavya Sharma of IV A, Aishani Tanwar of III B and Dhananjay Singh of V A were the winners. Whereas, in Senior Category Pakhi Rohilla of VI A, Aniha of VII A and Arnav Saxena of VIII A were declared as the best orators. Respected Principal Ma’am, Dr. Roopa Marwaha Bhalla motivated the students and appreciated the teachers for preparing the students.

Grandparents' Day Celebration

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. To show the love and respect towards grandparents, the Little Damsels and Rockstars of Pre Primary celebrated Grandparents’ Day on Saturday, September 29 2018 at RPS International School Sec-89,Gurugram. The Little RPSians presented a variety of cultural programmes which enthralled the gathering. And as a mark of their affection and respect for their grandparents, the children left no stone unturned to make this day special for them.  Various games were conducted for grandparents as part of the celebration and the winners were felicitated with prizes by the Principal, Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla. Special Prizes were given for the most Punctual Grandparents to Ms.Krishna Devi and Mr.Kuldeep Singh Malik,the Most Well-dress couple to Mrs & Mr. Ashwini Kumar Trehan, and the Youngest couple to Mrs & Mr. Anita & Bhupendra Tyagi.
