   RPS International School, Gurugram Class: V – MG Theme: Science and Innovation Thought of the Day: “Science is the key to understanding the world, and innovation is the power to change it.” The students of Class V – MG brought curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm to the morning assembly with an engaging presentation on Science and Innovation. The programme highlighted how scientific thinking and innovative ideas influence our everyday lives and help us find solutions to the challenges around us. The assembly began with the Gayatri Mantra, followed by a prayer, setting a positive and thoughtful tone for the day. Adhishtha and Devansh confidently anchored the programme, while Aashvi and Anvi shared meaningful thoughts in English and Hindi. Ayonija delivered an insightful speech, encouraging everyone to remain curious, ask questions, experiment with ideas and learn from their mistakes.  As part of our Third Language learning programme, students participated in a series of engaging activities designed to make language learning meaningful, interactive and enjoyable. Through the French Salutations Activity, students learnt and practised simple French greetings and polite expressions. They wrote the salutations and explored how they can be used in everyday conversations, building their vocabulary, writing skills and confidence in the language. The Japanese Greetings Activity introduced students to simple Japanese words and expressions used in daily communication. Along with developing their language skills, the activity gave them an opportunity to appreciate the culture and traditions associated with the language. The Shloka Recitation Activity helped students connect with India’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage.  Raksha Bandhan is a beautiful festival that celebrates the special bond of love, care, and protection between brothers and sisters. To make the occasion joyful and meaningful, a Rakhi Making Activity was organised for the students of Grades I and II on Thursday, 27th August 2026. The young learners participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity by making colourful and beautiful Rakhis using different craft materials. The activity provided them with an opportunity to explore their imagination, enhance their fine-motor skills, and express their creativity. The children also came dressed in ethnic attire, adding a festive charm to the celebration. Through this activity, they learnt the significance of Raksha Bandhan and understood the values of love, respect, care, and togetherness that make the sibling bond truly special. It was a joyful and enriching experience for all the students, filled with creativity, laughter, and the spirit of celebration.
