Special Assembly (Basant Panchami)

"Knowledge is power, knowledge is wealth."  May goddess Saraswati bestow upon you with prosperity and peace. Basant Panchami is the festival that celebrates the onset of Spring. It is also the occasion of Saraswati Puja. Students of Grade I and II presented a special assembly on the occasion. Spring is the symbol of new thoughts, new learning and freshness. Goddess Saraswati,  is a symbol of learning. Yellow is the colour of the occasion and was worn by the children and their teachers alike. The assembly commenced with the children offering yellow marigold to the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom, as the notes of the Saraswati Vandana played significance of the occasion was then explained by the student of the host-class who also shared some important facts about the festival. A group folk, ‘Aaya Basant dekho aaya Basant’ followed in warm reverie as a welcome to the season. Republic Day Celebration

 "Freedom of Mind, Freedom of Faith, Freedom to Dream, let's be proud this REPUBLIC DAY."  In India, we celebrate our nation’s Republic Day on 26th January every year. In 1950, our freedom warriors and legislators finally got around to putting the Constitution into effect. India became a democratic and secular country and wrote its Constitution on this day. On this Republic Day, an activity Tricolour Paper Badges was planned  for the students of Grade l &ll and  'Tricolour Hanging balls' for Classes III-V on 25 January 2023. All the students took active participation. Through this activity, students learned how to make the tri-coloured badges. They all were very excited.We could see the enthusiasm and their love for their own country. After making their own badges,  they put it on their shirts and even helped each other. My Colourful India (Kindergarten Wing)

 "A nation's culture resides in the hearts and soul of its people." India is a land of diversity but also an embodiment of unity in the most inclusive of ways. Each state has its own separate identity. People of different states live together and follow their own ways of tradition. How each state in India stands uniquely with different languages, cultures, food, and dressing.  To acquaint our students about different states of India, My Colourful India Activity was organized for Pre-Primary classes. All the children came dressed up representing the selected state by them and were encouraged to speak a few lines related to its people, language, food, festival. They also enjoyed tapping on the music related to that particular state.  The essence of the activity was to help students value the rich heritage that India has and value unity. The little ones took part with enthusiasm and zeal and with true national spirit.

Bonfire 🔥 craft activity

 Lohri is a special festival that is related to the sowing and harvesting of crops. It also celebrates the arrival of warmer weather because after Makar Sankranti, a day after Lohri, the nights get shorter, and the days get longer. The bonfire, lit during the celebrations of this festival, represents the same idea. Keeping this in mind , and to celebrate this wonderful festival, a "Bonfire 🔥 craft activity was planned for the students on Friday , 13th January, 2023. All students took active participation in the activity and made beautiful bonfire crafts . They enjoyed doing the same and understood the importance of the festival .
