Special Assembly- Mass Media’s effect on daily life

Mass Media's Effect on daily life "Mass media provides the essential link between the individual and the demands of the technological society." -Jacques Elluh An enlightening assembly, which emphasized on the importance of Media, was conducted by the sparkling students of lV Courtesy on 22nd July, 2022 . The programme began with the blessings of the almighty and proceeded by updating everyone with the news headlines. An informative thought of the day was also shared which was followed by a brilliant speech. At last but not the least, Primary Head, Ms.Ruchi Verma Gehlot admired the efforts done by the students and advised few more words on the topic. The assembly ended with the students singing the National Anthem with patriotism.

Purple Day Activity (Pre- Primary wing)

  We love purple, We love purple Yes we do, Yes we do Purple grapes and eggplant, Purple plums and grapejuice Just for me, Just for you Colours always fascinate us. Purple represents the future, the imagination and dreams, spiritually calming the emotions. It symbolizes royalty, nobility free spirit and dignity. It was a free spirited day in Pre-Primary section of RPS Sec-89 where all children as well as the teachers came dressed in their purple best. Kids were shown the making of purple colour by mixing red and blue. They also did various art and craft activities like making of grapes with balloon printing, bubblewrap printing in eggplant and making violet colour flowers using bottle cap dabbing. The celebration prompted young ones to think how colour enhances and influences our lives. It was a remarkable day filled with fun and enthusiasm.  

Special Assembly (Theme: Happy Monsoon)GRADE I & II

  The beautiful season of the year "Monsoon" or "Rainy season" is a gift of God to mankind. It revives our souls and fills the surroundings with the beauty of fresh greenery. To acknowledge this blessed gift of God; a special assembly was conducted by the students of GRADE I & II conducted an assembly on the theme "Monsoon". The assembly commenced with a school prayer, followed by the thought and a beautiful speech. BE A RAINBOW IN SOMEONE'S CLOUD Students identify monsoon as a time to dance in the rain, jump into puddles, splash water and get drench. They enlightened the spectators with the significance of monsoon as a provider of water for all the living beings on the Earth. The Assembly ended with a beautiful foot tapping Umbrella dance on “DANCING IN THE RAIN” leaving every one spell bound!!

Treasure Hunt Activity (PRE-PRIMARY WING)

  "The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart. " RPS International School Sec-89 believes in teaching students through fun and play. By implanting hands on approach to learning, educators at RPS encourage the basic skills that every individual needs to be successful. To help children develop the art of critical thinking, verbal communication, working collaboratively and to add on their learning a Treasure Hunt Activity was organised for pre - primary kids. The tiny tots of evey kindergarten class were divided into groups. Every team were given different clues related to object hidden and kids tried their best to find the object by analysing the clues given. The team members used their brain power to solve the clues and were presented with stars, smiles. This activity inculcated the traits of teamwork and problem solving skills in the young minds. In the end it was a treat to watch the winners find the treasure with huge smiles on their faces.

Special Assembly (GOOD MANNERS)

  “Life is all about manners.Nothing else matter."                                                                             -Albert Hardley To emphasize the significance of Good Manners, a special assembly was presented by the students of Class lV Felicity on 15th July, 2022. The program began with the prayer, preceded by news headlines and thought of the day. The assembly commenced with the soulful poem . This was followed by a short speech . A glorious skit was also performed by the students which signified the importance of good manners. Primary Head, Ms. Ruchi Verma Gehlot, appreciated the efforts of the students and shared a few words on Good Manners. National Anthem was sung by all the children at the end of the  assembly.

ADORABLE RHYMERS (GRADE II)

 "Lend me your ears, and you can borrow my mind" Poem is a piece of art through which one can express his/her feelings in their own special way. For children to express their feelings "ADORABLE RHYMERS" competition was organized in school for the students of GRADE II. The little ones with great zeal participated in the activity and recited the poem in english. They also used props while reciting which made it more expressive. It could be seen from the expressions how much they were enjoying while reciting the poem. The poetry recitation of each student was engaging and jaw dropping,  the melodious voices of students mesmerized everyone.
