National Mathematics Day Activity (Pre-Primary)

 " Mathematics is the most beautiful and most powerful creation of the human spirit. " Mathematics can be tough sometimes, so can many things in life but it is the only subject which shows that problems have solutions. To celebrate the spirit of mathematical learning, Math Day was celebrated virtually by little RPSians on 22nd Dec,2021. Students were made aware that this day is celebrated as National Math Day to mark the birthday of the great mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Pre-Primary kids did various activities related to math such as thumb printing in shapes, shape object hunting and missing numbers in clock. It was a fun filled and joyful day of learning for the kids.

Christmas Celebration ( Day 2: Santa Cap Making Activity)

Christmas Celebrations  Day 2: Santa Cap Making Activity To keep the festive spirit on, Santa Cap Making activity was conducted on second day of Christmas Celebration Week. Children learnt to make a simple Santa Cap using the art paper and cotton, under the guidance of their teacher.  Students enthusiastically participated in the activity. Their festive mood reflected in their creativity.

National Mathematics Day

India's National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22nd December every year. It marks the birth anniversary of self-taught Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions in the field of mathematics. To address the contributions of such a genius mathematician, RPS International School, Sec-89 conducted some mathematics-based activities.  Students of Grade I engaged themselves in doing addition of numbers by making ‘ Paper Flowers ’. They took keen interest in this unique way of learning ‘Addition’. Students of Grade II made clocks with paper plates. They enthusiastically presented their ‘ Time of Birth ’ on their self-crafted clocks and shared some interesting facts about “Time” and clocks. It was an enriching day for all.
