National Mathematics Day

India's National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22nd December every year. It marks the birth anniversary of self-taught Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions in the field of mathematics. To address the contributions of such a genius mathematician, RPS International School, Sec-89 conducted some mathematics-based activities.

Students of Grade I engaged themselves in doing addition of numbers by making ‘Paper Flowers’. They took keen interest in this unique way of learning ‘Addition’.

Students of Grade II made clocks with paper plates. They enthusiastically presented their ‘Time of Birth’ on their self-crafted clocks and shared some interesting facts about “Time” and clocks. It was an enriching day for all.
