Power of Reading Assembly Primary Wing

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.– George R.R. Martin

Today, the students of class V (Subhash Chandra Bose) conducted a thought-provoking assembly on the theme ‘Power of Reading’. The programme began with the Gayatri Mantra and the morning prayer, filling the atmosphere with positivity. The Thought of the Day beautifully highlighted how reading enriches our minds and souls, followed by the News Headlines that kept everyone updated.

Students then delivered an inspiring speech on how reading is like a silent teacher, guiding us through history, science, imagination, and life’s lessons. They emphasized that every book we open shapes us  into wiser, kinder, and more confident individuals.

The assembly also featured a creative recitation of poems in English and Hindi that celebrated books as treasures of knowledge and imagination, opening new worlds for curious minds.

Finally, Ms. Meenakshi Yadav, class teacher shared motivating words, reminding everyone that reading is not just a habit but a superpower that can transform our lives. The assembly ended with a promise from all students to read more, learn more, and grow more each day.
