National Sports Day Assembly Primary Wing
‘Champions keep playing until they get it right.’ With this inspiring thought, the young students of Class III Walnut conducted a vibrant and motivating morning assembly on National Sports Day.
The assembly began with a soulful prayer, followed by the Thoughts of the Day, Aaj ka Suvichaar, and the Word of the Day, which set a positive tone for the morning. The student news anchors then kept everyone updated with the latest happenings across the world — international, national, sports, education, technology, and business.
The highlight of the assembly was the Significance of the Day, reminding everyone that National Sports Day is celebrated in honour of Major Dhyan Chand, the “Wizard of Hockey,” and to promote the importance of fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. An energetic speech by Shanaya inspired the audience to adopt sports as a way of life, while Rishit’s heartfelt English poem and Kshitija’s melodious Hindi poem added rhythm and creativity to the celebration. The students also took a pledge to stay fit, active, and committed to the true spirit of sports.
Special appreciation to Ms. Ruby and Ms. Rachita for guiding the students and making the assembly meaningful. The assembly truly reflected discipline, confidence, and enthusiasm, qualities that sports instill in young learners.
