International Yoga Day

Yoga Day, also known as International Day of Yoga, is celebrated on June 21st every year. It was officially declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, following a proposal made by India's Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. The day aims to raise awareness about the numerous benefits of practicing yoga and promote its holistic approach to health and well-being.

Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India and has been practiced for thousands of years. It combines physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and ethical principles to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The practice of yoga can help improve flexibility, strength, balance, and posture, as well as reduce stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation.
On this day, all RPSians including little toddlers performed different asanas of yoga. Through the practice of yoga, we can learn to manage stress, improve concentration, and achieve a sense of harmony between the body, mind, and spirit.
