Special Assembly (Theme: Janmashtami)

To mark the birth of Lord Krishna, Janamashtami festival was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in Grade I and II. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion and faith. The students of Grade I and II conducted a special assembly which elaborated on how and why we celebrate Janmashtami.Devotional midnight singing (which takes place when Krishna is believed to have been born) was dramatized through a melodious devotional song ‘Achyutam keshavam Krishna Damodaram’ by the students of Grade II. Students were perfectly dressed up and enthralled the audience with their wonderful performance and followed by Class 1 students enacting various acts based on Krishna’s life. The little ones also sung a song related Krishna’s life titled "choti choti gaiyan" and at last it was followed by dance performance "Radha dhund rahi kisi ne mera Shayam dekha" which mesmerised the audience.
