Watermelon Day (Kindergarten Wing Activity)

The juicy and scrumptious watermelon is truly one of summertime's sweetest treats. With a name like 'watermelon', it's no wonder that eating it on a hot and exhausting day leads to refreshing and hydrating our bodies.

On Tuesday, May17,2022 Pre-Primary classes of RPS Sec-89 celebrated the 'Watermelon Day' to enhance their knowledge about it. They were communicated the health benefits and were made familiar with the hygienic ways to consume it. It was also a sensory experience as they explored the texture, colour, seeds and taste of the fruit.

Along with this students also did an activity of show and tell wherein they spoke about their favorite fruit. Indeed it was all a fun filled and learning experience for the kids.

 “Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.”         — Thomas Jefferson Today, talented students presented a thought-provoking assembly on the values of Honesty and Integrity. Through inspiring speeches, meaningful skits, and heartfelt quotations, they reminded us that truthfulness is not just about words, but about living a life guided by strong moral principles. The programme began with the prayer, proceeded by news headlines and the thought of the day. The assembly highlighted how honesty builds trust, while integrity ensures that our actions match our words—even when no one is watching. The students conveyed that these values are the foundation of a good character and a harmonious society. School Principal, Ms. Shiva Yadav, appreciated the efforts of the students and shared a few words on the same. National Anthem was sung by all the children at the end of the assembly.

Value of Time Assembly Primary Wing

 “Time is what we want most but what we use is the least."- William penn Today, the students of class V RLB conducted a meaningful morning assembly on the theme ‘ Value of Time.’ — an essential life skill that shapes discipline, productivity, and success. The assembly began with the prayer, proceeded by news headlines and the thought of the day. It was followed by a brief skit showing how proper time management can help students balance studies, hobbies, and rest. Through speeches, role plays, and real-life examples, the students highlighted how managing time well reduces stress and increases efficiency. The importance of creating timetables, setting priorities, and avoiding procrastination was beautifully presented. The message was loud and clear — “Time is the most valuable resource.
