Republic Day Celebration (Special Assembly)

  “Freedom in the mind, strength in the words, pureness in our blood, pride in our souls, zeal in our hearts. Let’s salute our India on Republic Day.”  We celebrated Republic Day and organized the virtual special assembly on 25th January 2022. This special occasion was celebrated by students specifying its significance.  The programme began with the prayer, preceded by news headlines and thought of the day. A speech highlighting the message of Republic Day was effectively delivered and motivated the students to celebrate this day with respect and devotion towards the county. Students showcased the spirit of Republic Day through a mesmerizing dance performance  Students presented a patriotic song which infused the feeling of patriotism among them. In the final lap a short quiz was conducted to enhance the reflective capabilities of our young minds.  The assembly concluded with the national anthem.

73rd Republic Day Celebration

 " Let us remember the golden heritage of our country and feel proud to be a part of INDIA. " To infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism ,Little Blooming Buds of RPS Sec-89 celebrated the 73rd Republic Day through an online platform.  All the teachers and students were dressed up in tricolour attires to mark the patriotism and and celebrate the national festival of our country. Students were explained about 26th January is celebrated as Republic Day in all over India. They were shown informative video related to this day and were informed that on this day a grand celebration takes place at Rajpath in New Delhi. We also hoist our national flag and give a salute to it. This day is also remembered to recall the efforts of our freedom fighters. Thereafter various art and craft activites were done by the pre-primary kids such as card making, tricolour pinwheel making, tricolour flower making . Republic Day Celebration Activity

 " A nation's culture resides in the hearts and soul of its people " Republic day celebrated every year on 26th January is a date on which the constitution of India came into effect. This day our country became a fully sovereign republic in the Commonwealth Nations. To celebrate this day, RPS Sec 89 conducted Peacock Making Activity for the students of grade III to V. Students were very excited to make our National Bird using craft papers.  Students were also told to abide by the constitution of their motherland and fulfill all duties as responsible citizens.

My Vision for India @100 years

  'Freedom in the mind,     Faith in the words,     Pride in our souls'  Our country is celebrating its 75th anniversary of Independence. To celebrate this occasion, series of events have been planned by the Government of India under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. One of which is My Vision for India @100 years. As a part of these year long celebrations, RPS International School, Sec 89, Gurugram conducted Paragraph writing and Poster Making Activity for the students of Grade III-V.  Students displayed magnificent imagination for how they want to see our country in 2047. Their love for the country reflected in their creativity.

Show and Tell Activity

  "The wise man let's go of all results, whether good or bad and is focused on the action alone. " Show and Tell is a key part of the school day and an important part of child's learning development, as it helps them to organise information and build their confidence.  So in order to enhance the vocabulary of the children and eliminate the stage fright, little RPSians of Sector -89 presented themselves in a beautiful manner and did Show and Tell activity with full enthusiasm and excitement. Kids presented on various topics such as My Favourite Rhyme, Water , My Favourite Cartoon.  It was an interactive activity that helped in building social, emotional and language skills of the blooming buds.

Brown Colour Day Activity

 " Brown is mud, brown is toast Brown is chocolate, and a Sunday roast. " Brown is the colour that evokes strength, reliability and helps us to relate with nature and earth. Brown is the colour of earth, wood and stones. Shades of brown convey concepts of earth-friendly and all natural. To take this forward , the children of Pre-Primary Section of RPS Sec 89 celebrated 'Brown Colour Day' with full enthusiasm. All the kids along with their teachers were dressed up in Brown colour attires. Kids were explained about making of brown colour by mixing red and green together. They were encouraged to find and name various brown coloured objects. Thereafter they did various art and craft activities related to brown colour such as making of bear face mask, making a hanging monkey with hand print and making of potato head craft. Makar Sankranti Celebration Activity

 Makar Sankranti ,an Indian festival full of fun and frolic is celebrated every year on 14th January. It is also called the festival of kites. To add another blooming bud to the bouquet of activities, a kite Making Activity was organized for the students of classes 1 and 2.  It is the smart way to kindle the creativity of students, as kite making requires both art and craft skills. The students wowed us all with their colourful creations: kites with smiling faces and interesting shapes. For these imaginative young minds, the sky is the limit.  Glimpses of their amazingly creative display of abilities is here for all to enthral.

Lohri Celebration

 " The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals " India is known as a land of festivals and celebration. Lohri is one of them which is unique in its perception and significance. It is a popular mid winter Punjabi folk festival, celebrated on 13 January every year. People traditionally light bonfires in their yards, socializing around the fire, singing and dancing together as they mark the end of winter and the onset of longer days. Like other festivals, this day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy by the little RPSians. They were explained about the Lohri festival and their knowledge was enriched by the teachers. Thereafter they made various crafts like colouring in Lohri scene, making of lohri decor and lohri craft. All the kids excitedly participated in the Lohri Celebrations.

Welcome Activity

 " School bells are ringing loud and clear, vacations are over, school is here " The students were back in the mode of online learning after a long winter break. They were thrilled, excited and raring to go. The students were back fresh, reenergised , well rested and full of excited stories of their vacations.  The students were welcomed by the teachers with a welcome note. They were encouraged to share how they spent their vacations, what places they visited etc. There after they made various craft activities like making of a crown, bookmark making, penguin craft making.  The main aim of this welcome activity was to make the little hearts feel comfortable and happy.
