Lohri Celebration

"The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals"

India is known as a land of festivals and celebration. Lohri is one of them which is unique in its perception and significance. It is a popular mid winter Punjabi folk festival, celebrated on 13 January every year. People traditionally light bonfires in their yards, socializing around the fire, singing and dancing together as they mark the end of winter and the onset of longer days.

Like other festivals, this day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy by the little RPSians. They were explained about the Lohri festival and their knowledge was enriched by the teachers. Thereafter they made various crafts like colouring in Lohri scene, making of lohri decor and lohri craft. All the kids excitedly participated in the Lohri Celebrations.
