World Science Day for Peace and Development Assembly (Primary Wing)

“Science is knowledge, and knowledge is power — the power to create a better world.”

The students of Grade V (Rani Laxmi Bai) conducted a meaningful and enlightening morning assembly on the occasion of World Science Day for Peace and Development. The programme beautifully highlighted how science acts as a bridge between progress and peace, inspiring young minds to use knowledge for the betterment of humanity. The assembly began with a soulful Gayatri Mantra followed by the morning prayer, which set a positive and serene tone for the day. The Thought of the Day, shared in both English and Hindi, emphasized that science and peace go hand in hand, shaping a harmonious and progressive future. Students then presented the News Headlines, keeping everyone updated with current affairs. This was followed by a powerful speech explaining the significance of the day—emphasizing how scientific advancement not only supports development, but also nurtures cooperation, understanding, and global harmony. A lively segment of Interesting Science Facts sparked curiosity as students shared fascinating insights—from the Eiffel Tower’s expansion in summer to the oceans being rich sources of oxygen. To add a touch of creativity and cultural craft, an Origami Craft Demonstration was conducted by Mr. Rajesh Rai from Handicraft Mahatma Gandhi Trust. His engaging and skilled demonstration showcased how art, patience, and imagination can beautifully intersect with scientific thinking and precision. The assembly concluded with encouraging words from the class teacher, Ms. Naveeta Yadav, followed by the National Anthem, filling everyone with pride, joy, and inspiration.
