World Tiger Day III-V
World Tiger Day, also known as International Tiger Day, is celebrated annually on July 29 to raise awareness about the critical need for tiger conservation. Established in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit, the day highlights the alarming decline in wild tiger populations and the efforts needed to protect their habitats and ensure their survival. With fewer than 4,000 tigers left in the wild, World Tiger Day emphasizes the importance of global collaboration among governments, conservation organizations, and communities to safeguard these magnificent creatures and their ecosystems for future generations.
For spreading the awareness about the same , an informative video was shown to the children of class III-V , followed up by the discussion session .
