RPS Gurugram 89 - Activities (Junior)

 The festival of Mahashivratri, a famous Hindu festival, is celebrated each year in reverence of Lord Shiva. This festival was celebrated with full devotion and sanctity by RPS International School, Sec 89.  Students made beautiful posters and paintings keeping the theme in mind. The students and the teachers were filled with spiritual fervour on the occasion.  The objective of celebrating this festival is to make our students aware about our culture and tradition.

 " A story can imbibe the right value in the most impressionable age. " Stories always gives wings to our imagination and takes us to places beyond the boundaries of physical world. In our quest to promote academic excellence and encourage students ,RPS Sec -89 organised a Story Telling Activity for Pre - primary kids. The students participated with their tremendous effort to make this activity a successful one. The stories that they narrated were moral based and these young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories interesting and expressive. Each story concluded with a moral highlighting different values of life. The oratory and presentation skills of the tiny tots were marvelous and outstanding.

 " The good effects of pink kindles friendship, harmony and affection... " The colour pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink is yet a soothing colour that shows care and affection. The lighthearted colour- Pink represents friendship, harmony, inner peace and stability. It is also associated with innocence of childhood and unbashed play.  In order to emphasize the importance of pink colour, Pre-Primary section of RPS Sec-89 organized Pink colour Day. It was wonderful to see the kids bloom and blossom in different shades of pink. They were excited to learn that pink colour could be obtained by mixing red and white.  The tiny tots participated in a variety of hands on activities like making of candy ice cream, hand puppet of pig and pink bunny craft. The kids enjoyed a lot and understood the aesthetic sense of pink colour.

 लक्ष्मीर्मेधा धरा पुष्टिर्गौरी तुष्टि: प्रभा धृति:। एताभि: पाहि तनुभिरष्टाभिर्मां सरस्वति।।  “Basant Panchmi” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom.  To welcome the Spring Season with the blessings of goddess Saraswati, RPS International School, Sector 89, Gurugram conducted Flower Making Activity for students of Grade III-V This day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm and students enjoyed the activities.

 Basant Panchami is an occasion which marks the advent of spring season and is also celebrated to worship  Saraswati ,the goddess of knowledge and wisdom.  On the auspicious occasion Saraswati is  worshipped by students for her divine blessings. People who are involved in music seek the blessing of veena holding Saraswati. To inculcate the traditional values,“Veena Drawing and Colouring activity” was organized for classes 1 and 2. Children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their spiritual side.

 " As harsh winter ends and mustard flowers bloom, May your life see no tough time or any gloom, " Basant Panchami is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. Yellow colour - representative of spiritual knowledge is given importance on this day. This auspicious day was celebrated by the Pre- Primary kids of RPS sec- 89 with great enthusiasm. They were told about the importance of the day, significance of Saraswati Pujan. They also enjoyed listening and singing  'Saraswati Vandana' and made various craft activities such as sunflower making, tulip flower making and kite making. All the kids were in festive mood and were excited throughout the session.
