Diwali Celebration

"It is the time to remove the darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge instead."

To keep up this festive spirit the Pre-Primary section of RPS, Sec-89 witnessed a hearty bonding by celebrating Diwali through virtual platform on 2nd Nov, 2021. Children were told the story of Lord Rama, how he returned to his kingdom after the exile of 14 years with his wife Sita and brother Laxman. They were also told that on diwali we worship Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha and decorate our houses with flowers, lights and rangoli.

Students of pre-primary classes made various Diwali crafts such as Diyas and Candles, Chandelier, Wall Hanging decorated with Diyas for themselves. They were also shown a video related to Diwali.

The students of Classes 1 & 2 had a fun activity of  ‘wall hanging- making’. Students used different coloured sheets, ribbon and decorative items to drive creativity in their thought process.

Diya Decoration, Candle Decoration and Toran Making Activity for the students of grade III to V.
