Teacher's Day Celebration

"A parent is the first teacher and a teacher is the second parent who shapes the future of a child."

Teacher's Day is celebrated in India every year on 5th September to appreciate the efforts of teachers in the life of students- the leaders of tomorrow. This day is also celebrated to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who besides being the second President of India was also a visionary educator.

Little RPSians of RPS Sec 89 celebrated this day with full enthusiasm and zeal. Enacting as a teacher activity was conducted wherein Pre-Primary students participated and expressed their love and gratitude towards their teachers.

In Class I and II, activity 'Enact as a teacher' which was organized wherein students portrayed themselves as their favourite teacher. It was indeed a treat to the eyes and ears.

Card Making Activity was conducted for the students of grade III to V. Students made beautiful cards to express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers.

Teachers Day is important for the students as it gives them a chance to understand the efforts put in by their teachers to ensure that they get a proper education.
