National Moon Day

"That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"-Neil Armstrong
National Moon Day celebrates the occasion when we first left footsteps upon our nearest neighbor. To share and make our students aware of moon landing ,we celebrated National Moon Day on Friday July 20,2019 at RPS International School Sec-89. The highlight of the day was the little RPSians dressed up as an astronaut. It was a treat to see them all working together and using  their creativity through different art and craft activities.
This was followed by a Mobile Planetarium show for classes  VI -VIII. Children were enthralled by the star-studded universe filled with galaxies, planets and their satellites, comets, meteorites and other celestial wonders.
As we continue to leap and learn more about our earth and its surroundings,  let’s continue to educate the younger generation with great books featuring fun facts about the moon, astronauts, and Apollo 11-said School Principal,Dr.Roopa Marwaha Bhalla.
