National Mathematics Day
India's National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22nd December every year. It marks the birth anniversary of self-taught Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions in the field of mathematics. To address the contributions of such a genius mathematician, RPS International School, Sec-89 conducted some mathematics-based activities. Students of Grade I engaged themselves in doing addition of numbers by making ‘ Paper Flowers ’. They took keen interest in this unique way of learning ‘Addition’. Students of Grade II made clocks with paper plates. They enthusiastically presented their ‘ Time of Birth ’ on their self-crafted clocks and shared some interesting facts about “Time” and clocks. It was an enriching day for all.
